This is a very good point.

I think it will be interesting to see how the Chiefs match up and challenge Manning with Smith, Robinson, Flowers, Berry and whoever else they add (I'm not counting on Abdullah at this point).

Welker won't be effective if that guy with the flab arm can't stretch the field. If you cheat on Brady, he has enough to burn you down field. Maybe the QB formerly know as Peyton needed a year to really get into playing shape and will finish strong this season. I'm betting that his arm really can't deliver anymore and his giant QB brain won't be able to close the gap.

Either way, even if he drops off, that's an 11-5 team at worst.

We aren't winning 11 games.

Peyton threw the 7th most deep passes last season.

His accuracy on deep passes was 2nd, behind only Rodgers.
