Great read.
I was on the tractor most of the game but this one will be great to catch on DVR. Point about the Lombardi is compelling stuff. Long way from in the trophy case but it is exciting to be a legitimate contender. |

Great job George. And some fun pics from last night's game. You're in one (I think).

Thanks for writing this up so late...you are a young man at heart! I was up till like 11pm just because I could not sleep. I thought about turning it off in the 4th when it was pretty much decided, but I just couldn't.
I was surprised that the starters were in on that last drive, but I think Andy wanted a 50 burger. Ah well, nobody got hurt, but it would have SUCKED if someone had. Since Burfect was out (couldn't happen to a nicer guy) I guess it was as safe a bet as you could have. Awesome job as usual! GO CHIEFS! I'll be making noise at Arrowhead next week!

Kelce had a quiet game but he turned a few short catches into nice long gains, something he is one of the best at. He is also always doing his best on blocking assignments and never bitches, a sign of growing maturity. I think he sees the big prize at the end of the rainbow as opposed to thinking about his stats or getting stupid penalties. He really has turned himself around this year. Never even close to a bonehead play, something he isn't getting credit for. Hunt is really something special and even Watkins and Demetrius Harris got in on the act. Shocked Tyreek dropped one and glad he dropped it when it really didn't matter as opposed to when it counts. Our Oline and Devey did a great job, especially Fisher. Scandrick had a defensive hold on the first series and he got away with it, allowing a 3 and out. Overall it was a really great performance on both sides of the ball for a change and seeing Ron Parker scoring a pick 6 on a pretty good INT was icing on the cake. Thanks as always GB and I'll shoot you some REP when I get reloaded later today. Now lets go kick some Donkey ass all over Arrowhead.

Thanks GB.
Not sorry about Burfict. He is an asshole. I did not get to see it. Had Phil Collins tickets since March. I got flexed out. I will watch the replay.

Great write up as always George.
I did come down to your seats before the game. I was in the 2nd row and asked some guy that was standing in front of your seat if he was George. Turns out it wasn't his seat and was just down there hoping to interact with some Chiefs players. This was about 40 minutes before kickoff. It was too crowded down there later to even try. Sorry I missed another chance to meet you. Maybe some day it will happen.

It really feels to me like for the first time in quite awhile, the Arrowhead mystique is genuinely back. Obviously every primetime telecast has hyped Arrowhead as a "tough place to play" over the last several years, but our home and away splits haven't been markedly different.
This is obvious as I prepare to type it, but given how much our strength is tilted toward the offense, you'd think homefield advantage would be that much more important with a team built as such. The two worst halves we've had all year - by far - have been the first halves of the Denver and NE games, and both of those you can attribute to Mahomes getting comfortable but also coming to grips with the crowd noise. When they've been at Arrowhead, the offense has been in complete control and has had the ability to dictate their own pace. It's been a thing of beauty. I think we'll beat anyone on the road in the playoffs, but at home, I know we will. Pinch me... I'm dreaming. |

They lineup as if they are going to punt return, (which leaves the edges open)... but they motion into a punt block formation last second and blow it up. It was like they KNEW it was going to be a fake. Would be interesting if they saw something on tape. |

I just had a revelation (not a good one) while reading this thread and being glad I won't have to wait to see the team again until the night game next week and that made me smile, and then...it hit me that there is a bye week coming soon and I'll have to wait two whole weeks while just waiting 7-ish hours longer was already causing discomfort.
While the bye week used to be a reprieve where I hoped they could fix some things, now it is going to be a horror to endure waiting to see these guys play again. |

Good job George.
A question for those in attendance with a good view of the bench. From my limited vantage point at home, it looks like Kelce is a bit subdued this year. Is he animated at the game, or is he pouting a bit because he isn't being fed the ball in the redzone?
