Unless a top prospect drops, we will need to trade down to maximize value, imo. We are in a spot where you can get comparable players within the next 20 picks.

Night, if that's the case I'd imagine they'll just take the guy with the highest potential upside

You're right about making it tough to trade down... But it just takes one team falling in love with a guy. Obviously if you compare the value of the trade versus the value of getting a specific guy, you can arrive at a moderately objective decision.

I'm hoping the Cardinals/Ravens/Cowboys are in love with Todd Gurley and feel like they have to move up to get him. That would be unusual for a RB given their perceived value around the league, but Gurley may be good enough to motivate someone to move up.

Ok, so I'm set on it being a corner.
I like Peters and the guy from wake the best, but Jones is intriguing. |

Oh c'mon - Jones was a 3rd round pick before the combine, maybe even an early 4th.
If we take him in the first, that's as 'workout warrior' pick as will ever be made. That's Vernon Gholston kind of decisionmaking. I don't mind moving a guy up a few spots in a round or maybe moving him up a round based on the combine but taking Jones in the first? Natch; no way. He's an interesting developmental pick and if we didn't go CB in the first, I'd consider him in the 2nd with the expectation that someone like Hardy will still be there at WR in the third. That's as aggressive as I'd get with him.

Meh. When i watched his youtube videos, i see a guy who lets a lot of receivers get "NFL Open". His combine was impressive, but i sincerely hope this isn't our 1st rounder.

In my humble all knowing opinion, I'd take Marcus Peters or Collins in the first, Agholor in the second and give the nfl the bird.
