**** OFFICIAL WalterFootball.com Mock Draft Thread****
He updates his mock drafts usually a couple of times a week.....so I'll post the updated ones when they come out. So far he's at 3 rounds but the 4th round is supposed to come out today.
www.walterfootball.com 01/14/15 18. Devin Smith, WR, Ohio State Once again, zero touchdowns to wide receivers. The Chiefs obviously need help at wideout. Dwayne Bowe is just a No. 2 receiver masquerading as a top target, while none of the other receivers are very skilled, though Albert Wilson showed some promise at the end of the season. The Chiefs might be regretting passing on Kelvin Benjamin. 49. A.J. Cann, G, South Carolina The Chiefs had pass protection issues this past season - only six teams surrendered more sacks - and I doubt Andy Reid will pass on an offensive lineman in the first couple of rounds. 80. Derron Smith, S, Fresno State The Chiefs will need to think about bringing in a new safety, as Eric Berry may not be able to play football ever again, unfortunately. |

If you paid attention....you'd notice that it was back in January when they selected him.

Which is still AFTER the college season ended, including all bowl games. So, the point still stands. He had 33 receptions in the regular season.

And in-before-someone-says-"Option Offense", Ohio State was fifth in rushing in the nation this year behind three option teams (Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern, Navy) and Wisconsin (Melvin Gordon saving Joel Stave's sorry ass.)

18. La'el Collins, G/OT, LSU The Chiefs had pass protection issues this past season - only six teams surrendered more sacks - and I doubt Andy Reid will pass on an offensive lineman in the first couple of rounds. Reid loves drafting linemen, and he's getting La'el Collins, who could easily go as high as No. 12. 49. Denzel Perryman, LB, Miami Here's some much-needed help for the interior of Kansas City's defense, which took a beating last year in the wake of all the injuries. The inside linebacker position must be addressed. 80. Justin Hardy, WR, East Carolina It's amazing that the Chiefs went the entire year without having any of their receivers score a single touchdown. Alex Smith was partly to blame, but the receiving corps was just abysmal. 98. Charles Gaines, CB, Louisville The cornerback position isn't as big of a need for Kansas City as some make it out to be, but better depth is definitely must at the position. 118. Davis Tull, DE/OLB, UT-Chattanooga Justin Houston is a free agent next offseason. It's hard to imagine the Chiefs letting him get away, but it might be too expensive for Kansas City to keep both him and Tamba Hali. If one goes, depth will be needed. 172. B.J. Finney, C, Kansas State Here's a potential replacement for Rodney Hudson, who signed with the Raiders this offseason. 173. Brandon Bridge, QB, South Alabama The Chiefs could stand to add a young quarterback to groom behind Alex Smith. |

Really prefer to go somewhere other than OL with our first pick, but love Collins. The first 3 picks would be perfect though. If we can still get Perryman and Hardy that makes me love he Collins pick.

Not changing the 1st round pick.....I'd rather see.
1. La'el Collins, OT, LSU 2. Bendarick McKinney, ILB, Miss. State 3. P.J. Williams, CB, Florida State 3. Tre McBride, WR, William & Mary 4. John Miller, OG, Louisville 5. Wes Saxton, TE, Southern Alabama 5. Vince Mayle, WR, Washington State |

Now with a 6th round. Don't know if he just wasn't paying attention and that's why he drafted two centers.....or if he's projecting one of them to play guard.
12. 49. Ronald Darby, CB, Florida State The cornerback position isn't as big of a need for Kansas City as some make it out to be, but better depth is definitely must at the position. 80. Justin Hardy, WR, East Carolina It's amazing that the Chiefs went the entire year without having any of their receivers score a single touchdown. Alex Smith was partly to blame, but the receiving corps was just abysmal. 98. Max Garcia, C, Florida Rodney Hudson signed with the Raiders this offseason, so the Chiefs will want to find a new center. 172. B.J. Brandon Bridge, QB, South Alabama The Chiefs could stand to add a young quarterback to groom behind Alex Smith. 193. Josh Harper, WR, Fresno State Despite signing Jeremy Maclin, the Chiefs could look to add multiple receivers in the 2015 NFL Draft. They don't really have anything after Maclin at wideout. 217. Nick Boyle, TE, Delaware The Chiefs lost Anthony Fasano this offseason. He wasn't nearly the same player he once was, but he still happened to be a reliable veteran behind Travis Kelce. |
