One of the main components of someone being overrated is that they were rated highly by someone to begin with, which Jason Avant never has been by anyone at any time in his career. Except by that guy who sang the Jason Avant song.

He's overrated? Wut? By who? When? Link?

He'll likely be the 4th WR (over Hemingway) and be good in that role. 20-30 catches for 200-300 yards and I'll be more than happy with that.

I don't mind Avant. Definitely not a playmaker by any means, but last year he was the one WR on the squad who seemed like a sure thing to catch the ****ing ball without tripping over his dick when it was thrown to him. It's nice having a guy who is at least likely to catch the ball if a relatively decent pass is thrown his way.

It's a testament to what a great job Dorsey has done reshaping the roster...when someone has to look to a #4 WR to find a player they consider "over-rated". Even then...he's not over-rated by anyone..
