I now feel old. This is the first movie I worked on that is being remade. I would guess the suits will be done this time. I thought our bugs were pretty amazing and I was very proud of them. I actually thought the movie was entertaining too. I'm not a remake purist so I'll wait to judge. Not loving the team assembled though.

Seriously though the material deserves better treatment than that horrible Hollywood excretion of 1997.

As for the reboot, I guess I'll wait and see. The people behind Baywatch and the new Total Recall don't inspire a ton of excitement, but if they stick close to the source material maybe they'll find something.

Loved the book and the original movie, while different than the book, was still good. I hope they stick closer to the book this time but I'm not holding my breath.

Nah, it would be easy to top that movie. Just make another movie...but actually use the source material.

I like the sound of it being more like the book, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. By the way, I've re-watched the movie a few times since then. Once I got rid of my expectations and viewed the movie strictly on its own merits, I have to say I liked it. |
