Yea other than 2 of the last 4 Bowl champions were primarily built in FA, things are changing.

What percentage of drafted players ever make the pro bowl?

Only 88 make the probowl and about 3500 players are drafted annually.

So, the chance of your FA making the pro-bowl is actually higher than drafted players.
