The Semi-Spoiler Free Star Wars Trilogy Mega Thread

Keep the spoilers in the other thread Clay.

All non spoiler stuff can go here. Fan art, standard discussion, etc...

EDIT

We can discuss several items in here, even small spoilers. But absolutely positively NO PLOT POINT SPOILERS. NONE!!!!

Personally, I think the secrecy is dopey. That is, unless they're hiding a weak and shallow story.

Otherwise, bring it on. Novel(s), comics, whatever. No one went to a Batman or Superman movie not knowing the story.
Because I don't read books before seeing the movie. I read the books after so I can see what all they left out. Shit, if you read the books first there is no reason to see the movie. Movies will never live up to the books.

That's not entirely true. Dark Knight and Dark Knight rises were pretty spoiler free for most people. I mean, yeah you know who's in it, but the main plot points weren't spoiled.
Partially agree on point one.
completely agree on point two.

Plus, this is just any old movie. This is ****ing STAR WARS. The Star Wars we hope is the one we have been wanting since we were kids.

So by that logic, spoilers will never live up to the film, so why not know beforehand?

Well, if you really want to know everything about the film before it even gets to theaters.... I don't see the point of watching the movie the first time if you already know whats going to happen.

My son read all the Harry Potter books before he saw the movies and all I ever heard from him is how the movies didn't live up to the books and they left important items out.

This exactly. I can't believe that I spoiled myself on Tywin Lannister's death, for instance, because of this very ****ing forum no less. The impact of the scene was ruined.

There's a new rumor going around that the kid from Kingsman is going to play young Han Solo in 2018.

I hate it. Totally wrong for the role IMO. Needs to be an American.

You can see they made the right choice cutting most of that stuff.

Han's "scum?!" line is cringeworthy, and Vader choking Jerjerrod is B movie garbage.

Yeah, I chuckled at that. Definitely something Han would do but it was horribly executed.

Actually I thought it was more of an Indiana Jones line.

Out of place for Han Solo to say that in a combat/life-or-death situation.

I don't mind spoilers too much, for a movie. But that's mostly because I rarely see movies early in a theater. So, when I do go see it there really is no chance that I won't be fully spoiled anyway from others who already saw it.

I hate spoilers for weekly shows. I.e. BB, TWD, Saul, GoT. Which is hard, being a west coastie. I used participate in AMC's TWD episode live discussions but too many a-holes who saw it Eastern Time come in to spoil it.
