Hypothetical: Get reincarnated here.

Just for fun, I've been dividing the world up into regions, and just finished last night. I divided the world into 16,789 regions based on states, provinces, communities, islands, arrondissements, or whatever else happened to be handy.

I didn't know what to do with it, so I created a reincarnation simulator. Sign up here and learn about your next life in advance. I'll give you:

Gender: (Male or Female)
Intelligence: 1 to 100, with 100 as the top
Attractiveness: 1 to 100, with 100 as the top
Economic Status: 1 to 100, with 100 as the top
Nation of Future Birth
Region of Future Birth
Population of that Region (which is somewhat useless since the boundaries are generally manmade, but hey, I've got it)

All statuses are relative to the region that you're in, not the world. So if you draw a 50 on economic status and you're born in the Badghis regions of Afghanistan, that means that you're at the median status of Badghis residents.

Sign up below if you're interested in the early release of your next life. I'll do three reincarnations per day, with the goal that we can discuss and decide which of the three has the best future fate awaiting them. Feel free to post pictures, maps, or descriptions of the reincarnated person's life as you see it.

So sign up below and we'll do the first three today.

Methodology: All figures are random. The probability of being born into a particular region is based on the population of that region.

Yeah, I've got to say that pointer has the worst draw notably. There's nothing in there that points toward any opportunity.

Yeah, no lie, but in that country there is no chance of anyone ever noticing. She might be more ****ed than Pointer19. Pointer is ugly and poor, but so dumb it hardly matters.

Nightfyre is a legit genius with above average looks who could be teaching quantum mechanics at MIT, but is stuck in the slums of India, and knows it. Pretty f'n horrible really.

Hey RainMan, question re: methodology. I assume your system doesn't just randomly generate a number from 1-100? In theory, it should be more of a bell shaped curve for the three indicators (wealth, looks, brains), yes?

Gee, this is one of those that I have no idea how to interpret. She's probably in the ruling class given the relative wealth, but this is kind of a rural place in Uzbekistan. Definitely a bigger fish in a smaller pond.

How are women treated here? I have no idea. It may be the best situation we've seen today, but ... I'm not sure. I can't even figure out what a residential neighborhood looks like.

Apparently there's nice fruit there:

I pondered doing a bell curve distribution, but the truth is that it's kind of built in to just a random 1-100 draw with equal probability. You just have to read it like it's on a bell curve. The way I interpret it, there's probably much less difference between a 50 intelligence and a 55 intelligence than there is between a 92 and a 97.

Question: Is the wealth rating a global rating or relative to where they landed? So is an 87 in America better than an 87 in Uzbekistan?

I believe he confirmed that it's relative.

So if you're a 5 in egypt, you pretty much have a dead sand rat and a loin cloth to your name (and really, you're probably only half owner of the dead sand rat...and not the good half; though it's hard to determine which half is the good half).

Shit's not good for Pointer...

I imagine a 5 anywhere is pretty bad.

But a 20 in Overland Park, KS, you still have means to move to KCK and become an 82.

Yeah, it's local. So I suspect DJ is right. A 5 in Giza probably means you're picking the corn kernels out of donkey feces, or maybe slightly one step above that.
