Andy Reid's record - with and without Jim Johnson

Reid w/Johnson :

Reg season :
97-62-1
Playoffs :
10-7

Reid w/o Johnson :
Reg season :
57-48
Playoffs :
1-4

Take away the smoke and mirrors 9-0 BS that he opened his KC tenure with, he's 48-48 reg season, 1-4 playoffs without Jim Johnson (17-18/0-1) in KC.

Just for perspective.

What team takes 5 year to make an AFCC Game?

If you haven't turned it around by then you won't. This isn't 1990...

Really?

I hope you are not judged as harshly wherever you work.

In one paragraph, you praise the work they do; and the next you want to can them.

Comical.

Only if you think there should be no expectations and no one held accountable.

I hated the first two years of these two but honestly think they knocked it out of the park this year. I do actually believe it's possible to learn from your mistakes and change your approach (which we clearly did in trades, the draft, and FA market.)

That's not enough for me to lock them up for the next Marty/Carl decade but I think it should buy them 2 years with the option to dump either after a season...

there's something weird about the post-Jim Johnson era because two of the better defensive coaches today were with Andy after Jim Johnson, and they couldn't even make his defenses work. The Panthers and Jets have very good defenses, something Bowles and McDermott couldn't do in Philly and I wonder if it has to do with Andy Reid have more control on that side of the ball than he leads on.

Of course that's my tin foil hat conspiracy, but I don't see how you fire two coaches to fall on the sword and they go on to be both top 5 defenses coaches in the league. That seems, odd.

Have you ever posted an opinion about a game, coach, or player? Maybe you should find yourself a homer board where it's all zoloft, sunshine and rainbows.

You can do this all day. Whats his record as coach only and coach and GM. You could put a lot of scenarios in there with many coaches.

What would Marty's record be and how many super bowls might he have one if he let a competent offensive coordinator design implement and make game day calls?

There are opinions based upon the foundation of thinking and common sense...

then there are the opinions stated by the usual "vocal minority" which full of drama while lacking football expertise or common sense.

(Where do yours fall?)

Two years ago it was Dorsey (now he is a hero)......then the past whole off season we read about Alex....now its Reid & Sutton ....even though we lost because of 5 turnovers.

"Drama, we need more drama"

This place has become intolerable.

While people bitch and moan, I read that and think that its a damn good thing that we continue to draft and build a top defense. Seems to me that the powers that be understand that Andy needs a stout D.
