If they thought we were winning the super bowl with Smith, we probable would have stayed with the 27th, 91st, and next years 1st.

My guess is they think they can win the super bowl with this cast... with Mahomes. He is the final piece.

He led the Chiefs to their first playoff win since the 1993 season and did everything possible in a 44-45 loss in Indy back in 2013.

What Alex Smith isnt? A Hall of Fame QB. Not even close at this point.

Anyone that's bitching about Smith doesn't want a Franchise QB, they want a Hall of Fame QB. A Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Ben Rothlisberger type of QB.

It's ****ing reeruned that these same people don't understand the difference.
That.... is.... a.... shame.

Alex Smith is not a franchise qb not even close. Alex Smith is the perfect stop gap qb, someone who can win you a few games, maybe even take you to a playoff game here and there. What Alex Smith can't do and is the most important reason why he's not a franchise qb is he will not win you a game when it counts.

Legit franchise QB's such as Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, etc. don't require elaborate contortions of statistical analysis to prove that they are franchise QB's.

Alex Smith Apologists should ask themselves why Alex Smith's on field performance doesn't sell itself, in terms of convincing people that he is a franchise QB.

Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Maclin when he was healthy. Then lesser guys like Ware, Conley, etc and all Alex Smith can put up is 15 tds, 15 of them. That is not franchise qb.

What's the definition of a 'read' and a franchise QB then? You don't get to be a starting QB for ten years and have six straight seasons of winning if your GM doesn't consider you to be a franchise QB.

Oh the deplorables on CP are so fun to talk to...

Just curious... How many QBs drafted since 2005 have a better win percentage than Smith and have as many starts as him?

All he does is win. Fact.

Your GM doesn't consider you a franchise QB when they draft a QB to take your job.

First Kaepernick now Mahomes. That's 2 franchises that don't believe in Alex.

The second part of your question is a bullshit qualifier since it makes the sample size way too small.

Quarterbacks drafted since 2005 that have a better win percentage than Alex Smith (.581):

Russell Wilson (.700)
Aaron Rodgers (.667)
Andrew Luck (.614)
Joe Flacco (.601)
Matt Ryan (.598)
Andy Dalton (.596)

Have a nice day, you piece of mule offal.
