So... I live in Denver now.

tl;dr - I moved to Denver, checking the city out, anyone want to watch football Sunday?

--------------------------

I arrived on Saturday and watched Denver got tossed around by the Colts on tv the following day. Awesome.

Scouting the city for where to live. Unsure if we want an apartment in Denver proper and live the city life or if we want to go to Boulder and do the mountain thing. Either is good though... just glad to be out of Wichita.

Also looking at employment. I refused a position at Comcast because I could not bear to going back to troubleshooting for people. If nothing else comes up then at least that job is there as a fallback. Looking at a Subaru dealership (I drive a WRX) in customer service/relations. Don't know that I want to do auto sales but who knows... likely start a part time gig at a liquor store to make some money and get out of the apt.

I'm typically an introvert but I can't come to Denver and stay in my room. I'm heading out to the Voodoo Comedy lounge tonight... they have a drop in improv class. If anyone wants to watch football next Sunday... let me know.

I did it once before when I moved to Louisiana. That said... that is not exactly the case here. The wife is still gainfully employed. I was sent ahead to scout the area, find a job, and learn about the city.

Wife will join me shortly and she will have no problem finding a job here with here as a teacher.

Its 50s here this weekend as well. I had a girlfriend in Denver for a couple years. It would snow in mid October and occasionally in late May early June. People there just don't notice it because they are high all the time

For the record, Denver hasn't had snow in June in at least the past 8 years. In that time frame, there was snow in May about half the time. There definitely is usually snow in October for sure, though.

Nobody notices because its all off the roads in a couple days.
And because you wake up to beautiful sunshine and the bluest skies north of the Caribbean.

I just did hard time in Northwest Iowa for 7 years.
That is winter.

I haven't even worn gloves yet.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. We hit like -15F a couple weeks ago. If you aren't wearing gloves then, you aren't wearing them ever.

A wind chill? I'm not hanging out in a wind chill.

I got a cover for my steering wheel tho.

Still doesn't compare to the asinine -50s I spent most of last winter in.

I'm so thankful that you arrived just in time to make them lose. Here's to several successful losing seasons for the Bronco's thanks to you PR.
