also
Randy Moss had 0 1500 / 15 TD seasons with Tom Brady also, he was 29 and was always a VERTICAL receiving threat Fitzgerald will be 32 and coming off of 3 straight years without 1000 yards receiving on a team that has featured the passing games the last two years. 1500 / 15 in back to back seasons is one of the most hilarious predictions I've ever read. I love me some Fitzy. He is no longer an elite NFL receiver. He'd be a perfect fit on a team like New England, though. |

Outside of a few games with a broke dick Carson Palmer, Fitz has had similar quarterback situations as Dwayne Bowe so bringing up his stats is beyond silly.

If he goes somewhere with a good quarterback, he will still be very productive.

Does this look like a guy who has lost a step?
Nope. He's just been "Bowe'd" due to his shitty QB.

you know who else was 32 when New England traded for him coming off of 3 very comparable Larry Fitzgerald seasons?
you guessed it Chad Ochocinco |

He scored two touchdowns this year? Well, I hope he doesn't expect that kind of gaudy stat if he comes to the Chiefs.

yeah he was Bowe'd last year when Palmer threw for 4200 yards
He's a very good receiver, he's no longer a top 5 NFL WR. And Tom Brady certainly wouldn't turn him into a "back to back 1500 / 15 TD" receiver you know something no receiver has ever done |

Trying to compare Ochocinco to Larry Fitz is just dumb.
Fitz may not be who he was 5 years ago, but the guy still has 2500-3000 yards and 25-30 tds left if he goes to NE. I'd put money on it |

We don't need Fitz and I'd rather see him finish his career with a QB like Brady anyway.
Lets draft a couple young WRs. Lets keep this team young |

it's dumb?
why is it dumb? I'll tell you what it is less dumb than. Two things: 1) predicting Fitzy would have back to back 1500 yard receiving seasons with back to back 15 TD seasons (something no receiver has ever done) 2) comparing Fitzy and Randy Moss now that's dumb |

Fitz is still a good receiver. I just don't think a team like KC should add him. They already have a big bodied receiver like Fitz in Bowe and they don't use him the way he should be. I don't see Fitz getting used right here either. The Chiefs need some short area quickness types that can get separation on short and intermediate routes. Bowe and Fitz don't do that, they use their bodies to shield defenders almost exclusively. Alex just won't throw the ball in that situation.

Moss only had 550 yards and 3 tds his last year before he got paired up with Brady.
He was obviously washed up. And the comparison to Ochocinco is some of the worst trolling I've ever read on here. Completely uninformed. Everybody can see it hootie...this is nothing more than another way of you playing the "Tom Brady is overrated and Peyton Manning tastes great when I'm drunk" hootie conversation. |

I feel ya, Mr. Torrance... but with Smith at QB Fitz would be a huge waste of money. He simply isnt going to throw to a guy like Fitz enough to justify what it will take to sign him... but like I said in the other thread, put him on the Pats and Brady will probably give him an all time personal high in touchdowns. Scatman Crothers will be along shortly to explain it all in greater detail... |
