Why is Von Miller not receiving a fine/suspension?

The NFL gives out $100,000 fines to players who don't show up to a media podium. Yet Von Miller literally exploded our quarterback 2 full seconds after he threw the ball. Not only late hit but he lowered his damn helmet into his spine and drove through him. If that doesn't warrant a fine and a suspension than what the **** does? The NFL needs to get their shit together and start treating Denver like the rest of the league.

If James Harrison made that hit he'd be suspended for 4 games. Miller will probably get a slap on the wrist.

Philosophically, I don't like fines on defensive players unless it's something horrendous. In the long run, giving them on-field penalties is probably more likely to change their behavior since it hacks off 52 teammates.

I think the fines came along because some of the penalties any more are so ticky-tack that the teammates don't get hacked off. They view the penalties as being dumb. So the league has to implement fines in addition to on-field penalties.

In this situation I agree with the on-field penalty, and even that is a quarter-second away from being unnecessary. But I don't think that a fine is warranted, even if it would help society by potentially diverting some of Von Miller's money from the criminal underground that he associates with.

Well, yeah, that's a given. He made it pretty clear that he was low-class to the 10 people on earth who don't already know it.

Exactly. Like I said earlier in this thread, I would have planted Manning the next series. Many here would have done the same.

I still haven't forgiven those gutless Chiefs players who didn't retaliate when that Bengals scum hit Trent Green in the head on that slide.

If I were coaching the Chiefs that game, I would have made the 1975 Philadelphia Flyers look like a bunch of choir boys.

**** ya

Wait until it opens up for a delayed blitz and don't stop or slow down for anything. I imagine an NFL athletic can create quite a bit of force if they know that they aren't going to stop for the whistle or if the QB throws the ball.

Hit manning at full speed, pin his arms so his shoulder hits first and drive him into the ground. Land on him with your entire body.

Sure that's about 4 penalties but they only count one at a time, fine from the head office.

with luck you crack his collar bone and knock him out for 4-6 weeks.
