It was laid back compared to the WC and LDS. But it was rocking when Frasor finished the 6th and was loud to the end.

The crowd was definitely more fired up in those two games, but there were a few key differences:

1) The weather. I think the chill kept people on their hands/seat a little more.

2) The game itself. The WC game was crazy, up-and-down and hectic. The ALDS clincher, the Royals jumped on the Angels early and never let up. Both of those lend themselves to a crazier atmosphere.

3) The novelty factor. People are still pumped up and excited, but they now have "been there before" a few times. I expect today to be nuts, however!

Pretty boring game really. If it wasn't a playoff game it would be a pretty ho hum type deal.

This was my first royals playoff game so I have no baseline. Those two games were win and advance games so I can see why the crowd was more jacked for them.

Yep... we were still standing quite a bit when the O's had 2 outs or the Royals got a runner on, but even the runs scored weren't terribly exciting, like a base clearing hit or a home run. Even the defensive play by Moose that received one of the loudest/longest ovations was outdone (IMO) by the back to back Cain catches in the ALDS.

I'll bet if you put together the top 5 defensive highlights of the 2014 MLB playoffs thus far, all 5 highlights would come from the Royals
