Will the Big X be left out of the playoff again this year?

The Big X as we know has been hamstrung by not having a conference championship game and by only having 10 teams, and with Baylor's loss this weekend, the Big X now has only one undefeated team left - Oklahoma State, who is due to face two top 10 teams in the next two weeks.

Will the Big X be without an argument to put a team in the playoff again this season, when they end up with multiple 1-loss teams and no way to differentiate them?

Why do you think that is?
Schools that aren't good at football can be worth more money than schools that are. Are you suggesting that that would be taken into consideration if the move to 4 super conferences happens?

Would they boot Ole MIss in favor of KU cause KU is worth more? Unless they can put out a good product no one is going tune in to watch KU. There is just not a viewing audience for KU. Where they are located they would have to be a brand like OU and that will never happen.

Think before you post.
You stats morons crack me up. Now lets divide total viewership by number of games played and lets see who wins. Just because basketball plays 4x more games, doesn't make it more popular. Football drives the bus. That's why ku is still playing in a sub-conference and wasn't picked up during alignment.

MVC schools that play football spend more on basketball, bc it does it make them money bc FCS football is a loser because of no tv money. Yet all the football teams average more than the basketball teams. Missouri State sucks in football yet we still average around 10k for a losing football team. Our championship year basketball teams get around 8k to 9k.

Including donations and other revenue sources, football, over all, brings in at least 65 percent of total revenue at major athletic programs, according to federal Education Department numbers calculated for The New York Times...

There's a critical piece you're missing, the NCAA Tourney bonanza which the NCAA keeps a chunk of to operate. (It pays 98% of the NCAA budget each year, football does not contribute)

I'l trust your math if you trust mine. Based on where your link gets their numbers here: http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/coll...ll-tv-ratings/

I add up 101 million viewers so far this bowl season. That's roughly 25% of CBB's TOTAL viewership for the regular season in 26 bowl games or 2% of CBB's games. That's sure seems like CFB's dying to me.

Tebow, Newton, Matt Flynn..

When you don't have those signal callers you stumble.

All the teams still in contention have really good, to great, quarterbacks. The lone exception? Alabama.
