So after 12 hours of watching college football today I must agree there is no qb worth #1 overall. We are totally screwed and there is no relief in sight even if Egoli gets whacked and takes Romeo to Golden Corral.

Players can develop further in the pros with the right coaching and talent.

Matt Ryan has taken an enormous leap with Dirk Koetter's offense and putting pieces around him.

Barkley can have a fine career.

If Pioli is wacked, hope will be restored.

Does this QB crop look good now? No, it doesn't.

It sucks we aren't this bad in 2011, but it is what it is.

As with most all highly rated QB prospects, Barkley would need to be "protected" by the coaching staff and brought along slowly. But I think he has all the makings of a solid, if not spectacular, WCO QB.

I'd imagine by year three he'd be ready to put a team on his shoulders and lead. Time will tell.
