What is your stance on aliens?

I am curious to see where everyone stands on this. Asking about a stance on UFOs could be a different topic with different options so feel to give your thoughts on that as well.

I like my idea the best. UFO's are a made up story that government officials "leak" out, in conjunction with regular citizen hysteria so that the public strays from teh truth and goes monster hunting.

Maybe we're the aliens and we just don't know it.

That response is total nonsense. So you think that because some people bitch about gay people, that means the public would panic and turn to anarchy because the government told them that aliens have visited earth?

That's one of the worst arguments ever.

Again, they aren't pulling it off. There are countless examples of people in government and the military telling their stories about aliens after retiring or doing so anonymously. You seem to want them to show the physical evidence of their stories but that is an unreasonable request. I don't think anyone is sneaking any alien bodies out of a lab anywhere.
If there are "countless" examples, please provide some. Don't bother with anonymous stories. Those are worthless.

Yes, because all stories surrounding aliens are based only on lights in the sky.
That's all that has been provided in this thread so far. You are making a claim. How about backing it up?

Same for an alien space ship.

Conspiracy theorists and UFO fanatics will claim that the government already has this and is keeping it all secret. I disagree. It would be easy to prove me wrong.
oh yeah, it'd be so easy a caveman could do it... just tell that damned old government to give it all up, show us everything ya got by Gawd!

Law dont go 'round here, savvy?

Look man... you win, Fish wins, Lane wins, whoever wins... I just dont care, and nothing you could ever say can refute the sworn testimonies of people so much smarter than all of you it'd make your heads spin.

You cant change what they said, and you cant change what I've seen... but you win... your "appeals to authority" and "logical fallacy" shield has held firm.

You're like Captain ****ing Kirk beating the Kobayashi Maru simulation, great job.

It is just one example of people being uncomfortable with that which is different. You also completely ignored the fairly obvious statement about how a confirmation of alien life would greatly impact a large number of people of certain faiths given the obvious questions and contradictions it could cause.

You are purposely obtuse and willfully ignorant on this subject so no, I will not waste my time on you.

Let's just say I'm not surprised that you decided not to "waste your time on me" at the exact moment I asked you to provide some evidence to back up your unsupported assertions.

But the deepest depths of our oceans are still largely unexplored because we still dont have craft capable of enduring those pressures.

And its always great to see police officers chime in on these threads, they're people who'se careers/reputations are largely at stake when they report ufo craft turning off their squad cars in direct fly-overs etc.

I actually have a very high level of interest in this subject. The problem is that the standard of evidence that I will accept is apparently very different from yours.

You said there are countless examples of people in government and the military telling their stories about aliens after retiring or doing so anonymously. You also implied that there are stories surrounding aliens that are based on a whole lot more than lights in the sky.

I asked you to provide something to back up those assertions. You essentially told me that you're going to take your football and go home.

You're the one making the claims. You can either bring something to the table to support your claims, or you can take your football and go home. Your choice.

It's really simple logic. Space is full of planets and universes that go on forever according to scientists. We can't be the only beings out there.
