A Gay Day With Clay: Big Biscuit Adventure!

Man, I woke up today wanting some biscuits and gravy. Let's go find some. You can see the hunger in my eyes.

Oops! On the way we get sidetracked by a garage sale.

**** yeah! Score!

I'm kind of hungry now. Let's make a pit stop. Rain Man is excited!

Just kidding. Nice bathroom at the Panda Express, incidentally.

On the road again. **** the police.

Oops, gotta stop again. Gotta pick up some nerd stuff.

Would ya look at all that stuff.

Alright, got us a nice external enclosure for our "files." Heh heh. Heh.

WE'RE ****ING HERE! NO MORE ****ING AROUND!

What an attractive lobby.

Nice clean place.

Let's get Jim's Platter. Jim seems like a sensible guy.

OH SHIT. OH SHIT. OH SHIT.

Let's go in for that closeup.

This is a good bite.

Look at this fat guy walking by. I bet he WISHES he was in here eating biscuits and gravy.

Well, we're done here.

HOLY SHIT, The Big Biscuit has some nice bathrooms with handsome fellers in them. Dat granite.

On the way back let's get our car washed. Can you guess which one is mine? I bet these guys would love some Big Biscuit right now.

Review:

Unfortunately, Big Biscuit is horribly overrated. It's barely better than an IHOP or Denny's. While the biscuit was pretty decent, the gravy was SEVERELY lacking. There's no way anyone should be standing in line for an hour for this shite on the weekend. The eggs and hash browns were standard. I can do better at home.

Fortunately, this meal only cost $6.99. So at least we didn't get ripped off.

Yeah I can go on...it's not cheap to run a business

Yeah, there's a ton of overhead that goes into running a business. I specifically mentioned those two because they have the most visible effect on your food and experience.

eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon = shitty brunch.

We go to places for brunch regularly on the weekends. One of our favorite places is http://www.panerusticabakery.com/. She gets the oven roasted vegetable sandwich as a salad full of fresh vegetables, hummus, fruit, and topped with a nice portion of grilled salmon. I always get the pan-seared salmon sandwich which sends me to nirvana. We always leave so full that we don't eat much the rest of the day.

If you go to strouds try to get there earlier they have a tendency to not change their grease appropriately.

I dont agree about breakfast, it always requires a pan. Which is tiring to clean up, you have to scrub it out to wash it from all the grease, even if you have a dishwasher. I think the easiest thing is lunch, two pieces of bread, roast beef, yogurt and some pretzels or cashews and im done.

But this is coming from a guy who thinks cooking is a waste of time. I gladly pay ppl to prepare, cook, and clean my dishes for me. Its why I eat out almost every single day and havent cooked since 2009

Back in 2009, you had some shitty pots and pans.

A meat, egg and potato breakfast couldn't be easier or cleanup quicker.

Pancakes and waffles require some quality cooking surfaces, but a minor [$20-25] investment early on and those are penny meals done in moments with little to nearly no cleanup.

Eggo waffles on paper plates dont require a thing (im not ocoking real waffles ever) .Eggs are a different story for me, such a pain in the ass. Toaster, no clean up. Paper plates, plastic tensils, plastic cups. Ez game, only costs an extra $50 a year.

Perhaps the point is that the money you spend at a restaurant isn't so much the ingredients as it is everything that goes into getting those ingredients into your gullet... I think the logice you used in your previous post can be applied to a chicken sandwich meak at 2:00pm too.
