Visiting Omaha
I've got a trip to Omaha coming up, any can't miss places for food/drink?
I wasn't aware when this was planned that it was during the college World Series. Any affect that has on the city that first-timers should know? (my visit has nothing to do with the college World Series) Since it is the weekend of the CWS, hotels are expensive af. I've got one booked downtown within walking distance of the Holland Center, but would it be worth moving to one near I-680 and 6 Hwy and use Uber to get into the city? Is there anything out there, or is it just generic suburbia? |

If you have the money and you are out on I680 you could try Flemings. Expensive as **** but delicious. Two people would probably spend no less than $150 for a nice dinner if I recall correctly(just looked it up and most of their steaks are over $45). You wouldn't be too far from Brother Sebastian's either. Another great place but expensive. "Filet Sebastian | 12 oz. | center-cut tenderloin charbroiled and served with sauteed mushrooms and Hollandaise sauce | $41.95" I am getting hard just thinking about it. That steak is the most delicious piece of meat I think I have ever had.

Never ate anywhere all that nice, but...
http://brewburgersomaha.com/ The Old Mattress Factory Bar & Grill by the arena was my hangout before hockey... not 'must eat' by any means, but a decent option for drinks, at least. And for beer... http://beercornerusa.com/beertopia/ |

I was coming back to mention PepperJax, but it looks like they've popped up all over KC now... another place that's not all that nice or anything (it's basically the Chipotle of Philly cheese steaks), but one of my favorites for the money. |

I like that place but yeah, it's a bit run down. And it has no exterior lighting, after dark it looks closed. And it's never really busy...I have no idea how it has stayed in business as long as it has.

Still shocked this place is open as well. Food quality has went way down and the only time it is busy is when there is an event or concert in town. Used to be a big Creighton hang out but that is even fading. So many better casual places downtown.
