Interesting notes from Reid's press conference today

@TerezPaylor: Reid on his starting right tackle: "Right now we've got Donald Stephenson there. We'll see how it goes."

@TerezPaylor: Reid says tackle might be Jeff Allen's best position. Says he's coming off that injury but will compete there.

@TerezPaylor: Reid says the #Chiefs can get more playing time by being used the way he was toward the end of the year. Needs to improve run defense.

@TerezPaylor: Reid on Stephenson: "He was suspended early and gave another guy (Harris) an opportunity...there should be great competition there."

@TerezPaylor: Reid says Travis Kelce played last year at 250. Says he could easily be a really good player at 265, like he was in college.

@TerezPaylor: Reid says he did not have an opportunity to visit with Marcus Mariota, but he's a "pretty good player."

@TerezPaylor: Reid says getting through a 16 game season "was big" for Fisher. Needed "to pound through all the things" mentally, that come in full season

@TerezPaylor: Reid says Dee Ford can get more playing time by being used the way he was toward the end of the year. Needs to improve run defense.

I think he'll be fine at left tackle this year but if he's not, the last thing I want to see is him at right tackle.

He was a complete failure at LT last year.

At the end of the year two years ago he at least looked respectable at RT...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Agree to disagree, I suppose.

Fisher had his hands full in 2013 and Reid finally put Stephenson in, only to lose Albert to injury the last four games, which ended in Stephenson at left tackle and Fisher back to right.

I thought Fisher made significant headway in 2014 and obviously, Stephenson somehow regressed. While I still believe that Fisher's best days are in front of him, if he fails at left tackle, I'd just as soon see him cut because there are a guys available every year that played much better than him at right.

That said, I don't think it'll be an issue. I expect Fisher to at least grade out as average in 2015.

And Stephenson looked outmatched at LT while that was likely the best play we've witnessed from Fish.

Fish should have stayed there. He might have a solid future at RT.

The only reason he looked respectable at LT was due to both our G positions being huge fails (one rookie, one total $#itbag) and Hudson being such a ****ing swinging **ck stud he was able to compensate.
