Dog-bitten victim told to leave KFC ... is a scam?
This is the original story on June 15th:
"The grandmother of a 3-year-old girl who was viciously attacked by three dogs says she was asked to leave a KFC in Jackson, Miss., by an employee who said the girl's scars were scaring other customers..." Link:http://news.yahoo.com/girl-scar-pit-...172943098.html Now after investigation, KFC claimed that it was not true: " In the wake of reports that a KFC employee asked the family of a 3-year-old girl scarred by a pit bull attack to leave the restaurant because her injuries disturbed customers, the fried chicken chain said two different investigations have not found any evidence of those allegation... On Tuesday, the owner of the KFC franchise that runs the restaurant said a review of video surveillance found no evidence to corroborate the allegation. Hannon Food Services issued a statement to WAPT-TV in Jackson, Miss., on Tuesday that said hundreds of hours were spent reviewing the video surveillance at the KFC restaurant and all of the employees at that location were interviewed..." KFC is still gonna donate $30K to Victoria Wilcher's medical bills. Will be interesting what happens to the other $200K they raised through FundMe.
I'm fully on board with helping the little recover, but someone needs to face fraud charges. |
