If you like place, list a favorite dish or reason why.
I've found that Yelp ratings here are misleading because some people like a place for the price or portions (or don't like it for that reason). Or their bar is low for a certain type of ethnic food (e.g. it's good for the middle of the country but if you've been around NY or LA or SF does it really hold up?) |

I love Jersualem Cafe Bakerys buffet. 10 bucks with a drink and good middle eastern food.

You're going to have to head north of the river for fried chicken (for the original restaurant, anyway)...
http://stroudsrestaurant.com/ If Pakistani food gets your toes all tingly, try out Chai Shai http://www.chaishaikc.com/ Vietnamese, go to Pho http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/34/38170...Kc-Kansas-City For some amazing Austrian fare, check out Grunauer... http://grunauerkc.com/ For a burger, check out Grinders.... http://grinderspizza.com/ For a VERY underrated pizza, check out this dive bar... http://caddyshackkc.com/ For kick ass Ethiopian food, hit up Blue Nile Café http://www.bluenilekc.com/ For great wraps and sandwiches, Longboards is a must http://longboardswrapsandbowls.com/ And I hate to break this to you brother, but you aren't going to find seafood comparable to that which you are leaving behind. I'll add to this list later on. |

Em Chamas, Brazilian Steakhouse. North of the River. More reasonably priced than Fogo De Chao, and better IMO.

Em Chamas kicks ass. Yummy stuff there.
http://emchamas.com/ And Cooper's Hawk IS a chain, albeit a small one (8 total locations), but still one of the best meals I've had out in a long time (great wine, as well)... https://www.coopershawkwinery.com/ |

And I'm an addict for 54th Street Bar&Grill. Bar food at its best. Literally nothing bad on the menu (I would know, unfortunately)...
