Didn't have to do that just audible out of the play and he would be wearing 2 rings. Besides the defender did his homework and jumps the route regardless if the pass is slightly off or completely accurate. If the pass is accurate, because the defender jumps the route(did his homework) it is an "incomplete pass" still IMO. But because the pass was slightly behind and he jumps the route he actually gets the PICK. Wouldn't even be discussing this IF he audibles to the RUN.

My beef with his comments isn't that he's too religious. It's that he's too self-absorbed. I mean, I'm presuming here that God did not, in fact, work through him in the way that he claims. So given that, he just told the world that [Wilson thinks] God thinks Wilson is more important than all of his teammates & coaching staff & organizational employees put together. That the leadership that God wants Wilson to show after that loss is more important than the hard work and dreams and prayers that the other Seahawks put in to win that championship.

If he'd decided to audible and called a run, his coach would have chewed him out for calling a run against an 8 man front and, quite possibly, costing his team the game.

I think you're taking his quote out of context. He's a man of devout faith. He thinks everything happens for a reason. Of course he sees the world from his point of view, isn't that the point? He's using his devout faith to try and conquer personal adversity. Everyone tries reading way too far into things
