As far as I know, the statute of limitations has ran out for the large majority, if not all, of the women coming forward. Thats why I tend to believe them, they might get a few thousand doing interviews, but that isnt nearly enough to make me believe they'd make all of this up all of these years later.

Some Hollywood "good guy" turned out to be a sham, not really all that shocking is it?... this story is as old as Fatty Arbuckle.

Not sure why you're citing that saga, unless it's a subtle attempt to vindicate Cosby.

Thats not the story I read at all, its in a book I have of newspaper clippings compiled from 1900-1999.

I recall murmurs about sexual, don't know how to say exactly in 2014 terms, aggression? horniness? simple infidelity? in the past.
I know there was some murmuring about his relationship with his son when his son was carjacked and killed.
I know that comedians have had a chip on their shoulder over his sermonizing about 'clean' humor.
I know that progressives have had a chip on their shoulder over his 'pull your pants up and do your homework' message to black youth.
But am struggling to recall specific allegations of rape or attack until Hannibal Burress' latest Eddie Murphy imitation.

Not saying they weren't there, but this seems to be an escalation of what preceded more than a revival.
