Not having faith in the Chiefs to win enough to make the playoffs after our start is one thing. Perfectly reasonable. Thinking if the Chiefs make the playoffs after starting 1-5 it will be the same as the Colts/Ravens game is just fatalistic. It will take a Leviathan team effort to get them there, and will forge a competitive team. Colts/Ravens were win early, limp late, slump at the end scenarios. Totally different from this year, were they to get there.

My first thought when I saw the final was "great, we can start talking about the playoffs again!"

But it's a 16 game season that last 17 weeks out of the year. Hoping for failure seven weeks into the season is lame. Why even bother watching at all? |

It was a done deal then, but not because they lost the game, but rather how they responded afterwards. When you look back on the season, I'm sure the 4 successive losses after Denver, combined with the loss to Denver, will be what did them in.
