Chiefs Playoff thoughts - Page 6

I haven't really been paying much attention to the NFL with the Chiefs horrible start. But looking at the standings it looks like there would still be a possibility for the chiefs to make the playoffs. I know, I know thats not popular - lets lose for draft position yada schmada -

As of this afternoon the chiefs really aren't in bad shape in the AFC:
NYJ - 4-2
*Steelers - 4-3
Oakland - 3-3
Miami - 3-3
#Colts - 3-4
Buffalo 3-4
Kansas City - 2-5
Sandy Eggo - 2-5
*Houston - 2-5
Browns - 2-5
Jacksonville - 2-5
Baltimore - 1-5
Tits - 1-5

* Teams we have beat
# probable division winner

Obviously this list excludes the 6-0 teams who are also projected division winners.

We still play both the Charges and Raiders twice, the Bills, Browns and the Ravens - we really do control our destiny.

If someone follows the NFL in order to play the draft, so be it.

But to give up on the team in hopes that they fail, in order to draft a mythical franchise savior, is beyond dumb.

No team in the NFL has been getting blasted in the nfl harder then this chiefs this season there is a reason for that.

Two tracks here

Not having faith in the Chiefs to win enough to make the playoffs after our start is one thing. Perfectly reasonable.

Thinking if the Chiefs make the playoffs after starting 1-5 it will be the same as the Colts/Ravens game is just fatalistic. It will take a Leviathan team effort to get them there, and will forge a competitive team.

Colts/Ravens were win early, limp late, slump at the end scenarios. Totally different from this year, were they to get there.

We wouldn't be so eager to lose out if the NFL would adopt my method for determining draft order.

Nope done deal after den Cincy and green bay.

every time we face a playoff team they crap down there leg and showed me Alex smith will only hurt this team by winning

It was a done deal then, but not because they lost the game, but rather how they responded afterwards. When you look back on the season, I'm sure the 4 successive losses after Denver, combined with the loss to Denver, will be what did them in.
