Would anything actually make you walk away from the Chiefs?

This will be a somewhat long read, so get some snacks and a drink.

I've been thinking about this lately for the first time in my life and have mentioned it in passing a couple times.

I've sat through them trading for backups from other teams my whole life (I'm 37) and always coming up short. I've driven 10-12 hours (round trip) at least 40 times, bought season tickets in 3 years, spent thousands going to training camp almost every year, spend at least an hour a day chatting about the team, probably dropped 8k on single game tickets everywhere in the Stadium from the worst seats in the house (for the 2003 Indy playoff game where that was all I could afford, but wasn't gonna miss it for anything) to literally the best seats in the house (club level fifth row, the first 4 rows are uncovered, the fifth row is the best...basically Julius Ceasar seats) , thousands on gas, thousands on hotels, bought the jersey of almost every first round pick of the team (until Tyson Jackson broke that streak) spent thousands on ST...you get the point.

I've been a loyal "true fan" for my whole life.

I guess I'm just not sure how much more gas is left in the tank.

Each time they have traded/signed a backup from somewhere else, they discredit themselves from being a team that truly wants to "win it all".

Deberg
Jaworski
Vlassic
Bono
Gannon
Montana (at his age health for a first rounder)
Grbac
Moon
Green
Huard
Croyle
Thigpen
Cassel
Orton
Palko
Quinn
Daniel
Smith

Let's get down to it.

The next name on that list needs to be a guy we select high in the draft and develop into the teams starter. I don't even care who it is. Cook, Hackenburg, Goff, Jones, Hogan, Brissett...don't care who they select...but they need to draft a premium QB prospect in the upcoming draft and develop him or I think I'm gonna walk away from the team until they get real about the most important position in pro sports.

They trade for another POS backup? They hand the keys over to Daniel? They sign some garbage "project they can coach up" QB? There are better things to do with my time/money.

The ONLY guy I'd be ok with signing would be Drew Brees and even then, I want them to draft a QB in the first 2 rounds to groom to be the future starter. Anything less is unacceptable.

Dalton
Bridgewater
Carr
Rodgers
Flacco
Wilson

All guys that weren't good enough for us to draft/develop? The Chiefs were dead wrong to think that and they need to roll the dice this time.

My question to you guys is this....have you had similar thoughts recently?

Most of us here love the sport and this team, specifically, and I'm wondering if I'm the only one thinking this...

Discuss.
