I remember back in the 90s when FOX tried to make hockey popular by introducing the glowing puck.

It's a niche sport like MLS. It's never going to be as popular as the NFL or MLB but that's ok. They still have a loyal, passionate fanbase.

I don't want it to become as popular as the NFL, and I certainly don't want it managed like the NFL and one day see it become all about offense. I don't want expansion, I don't want a watered down league. Keep hockey on NBC/CBS sports and NHLN with few commercials during the game and no commercials during OT. And when I talk hockey, I don't want to talk about fantasy hockey.

This will be even worse in 10 years when they realize that half the NFL has brain damage.

HD TV's have eliminated the need of the glowing puck thingy, luckily.
