Rural Internet advice

Mods, I know this belongs in the media center but if you can bare with me I would appreciate it.

I've lurked here long enough to know to know Austin likes bag o dicks, Rain Man got raped on a freighter, sauto is actually Jason, anti-freeze is a good thing, aids and fire go together, bob dole needs a pm, and midnight vulture is entertaining.

That being said, the Youtube thread got me interested and I thought I would start looking again at getting decent internet at my house. I cut the cord 3 years ago and moved back to the country where we have been using only an air antenna for the most part. About two years ago I installed an app on my work cell that lets me run wifi but it bogs down in a freaking heartbeat. While I emjoy the free internet it has became a pain in the ass when I run more than one device for everday use.

So, my question is; does anyone have any experience with rural internet? The phone works great for 1 screen but I'm needing a little more. I know this has been discussed ad nauseam but I would like some fresh takes if anyone has them.

Im sure I've missed a lot of CPs insults so I will welcome them if you have some solid advice. Thanks in advance you worthless bunch of assholes.

And RIP ED, never logged in to say that (theses asshats scare me)

Thanks

Why does this post sound like you work for them?

I'm on Total Highspeed. But I'm on their new fiber network. They actually just began offering fiber this year. My subdivision, between Highlandville and Spokane, was the first to get fiber. I love it. I've seen better values. I paid $300 for installation and am on their cheapest package paying $50/month for 25mbps up and down. I run everything that I want on that speed. As far as their wireless goes, I'm not sure. I never had it, but many of my neighbors did. Their speeds we're 1mbps or so. I had Hughes net gen 5 prior to my fiber. It was much better than gen 4, but still not great. I jumped at the chance to switch to fiber. I was supposed to pay them a cancellation fee, but they are still waiting for it, much like I was always waiting for their slow internet to load.
