Worth Noting at 1-3...
that currently the AFC #6 seed is held by the Buffalo Bills at 2-2. The New York Jets are the #5 seed at 3-1, and I think most would anticipate that success will soon hit a bump in the road. After all, none of those teams or the other teams in that range played three 4-0 teams in a row.

These next games are going to be huge for Kansas City. If they can get the confidence rolling with a convincing win Sunday vs. Chicago, they are already right back in that mix and the schedule doesn't get any tougher than it has been. Here's to hoping that happens.

If Buffalo could get healthy I could see them being a playoff team.

Their secondary is weak but Taylor will be a good QB...

Their biggest problem right now is themselves. Penalties on top of penalties. I'll be at that Buffalo-KC game, and I'm hoping it has big implications.

Week 1 they were, week 2 they were.

Week 3 they weren't. Week 4 they were with the Bengals all the way until the Kelce fumble that was not a fumble.

I'm just saying, they've been in 3 of the 4 games and the losses were against 3 of the best 5 teams in the league right now. Can't count them out based on that just yet. I'm not saying it's a Super Bowl team or anything like that, but it can be a playoff team.

I really hate to be this way, but feel I have no choice... neither Reid nor Smith are going to change for long.

Reid might stifle himself long enough to get serious for a few games, we've seen him do it before.

Smith might step out of his shell and have a few games where he tries to throw it around, we've seen him do it before.

But in both cases, its never a lasting change... as soon as they think the pressure is off, its right back to their base instincts.

I just wish to God that Reid would smarten up and start playing some meat and potatoes football, line up in the I and pro-set with Charles and co. and Sherman and just beat teams up that way.

Run the hell outta the ball and take some deep shots off play action, Smith would actually look decent that way and we wouldn't be completely wasting Charles and this really solid stable of backs.

Not to mention giving the defense plenty of rest.

But I genuinely don't see either of these two changing their stripes at this point, a few nice wins over some fellow tomato cans and it'll be right back to the bullshit.

The Jets have been doing well, but I can't judge that offense based on performances against Cleveland, Indy, Philly and Miami. That is not a strong pool of defenses by any measure for Fitzy to face.
