Offseason, What-ifs, D-Bowe and Trades

Let's face it A. Smith is going to be the QB at least one more year here. He is getting the job done and not great. So might as well improve around him, so what if:

We trade Bowe for a second rounder (maybe 3rd). We'd nearly get back the pick we lost for Smith.

We can then pick up a top WR, like Nicks or Maclin, to replace Bowe's average numbers.

We can then pick a WR round one in the draft and have the Bowe pick for some help on the line?

Yes, Bowe was just resigned, but if we could find a buyer...

Everyone will forget if he gets 100plus yards and two tds.

I usually hate on players but it is weed. Stupid. But he should be able appeal out if he passes drug test. Other guy said it was his.

And they do not utilize bowe because smith is not capable. We all knew it at the start of the season. Throw him jump balls.

Im sure they do, but there's not an EXTREMELY high percentage of NFL players dumb enough to get busted with it. Having said that, he's still an asset to the team and should not be traded, even if it wouldn't incur a big cap hit.

Now, on top of that, you have this.

Just remember it. And please, especially you Brock, if it does happen, be man enough to own it.

Bowe is one of only a couple players on our offense that has proven he can produce at a high level despite what's going on around him. Even when he isn't showing out in the stat sheet he's drawing attention away from others and doing his job plus more in opening up lanes for Jamaal with his willingness to block downfield.

He is a legitimate number 1 receiver.

Hey, his lack of production, largely stems from Alex Smith. I have zero problem owning that.

But, it isn't all on Smith.

Bowe, has run some really shitty routes, and dropped some easies.

But, Alex has neglected him, and thrown just as may shit passes.

One hand of that shit show washes the other.

Could. Very very very very very very unlikely, like less than .1% chance of it happening.

But there's a chance, I guess!

Shrugs.

I guess we will see.

I personally see a major over haul coming on the offense.

Only players that I could confidently say are safe, are Eric Fisher, Jamaal Charles, and Anthony Sherman.
