Best CB in the draft arguably.
Obviously off the field issues are the main concern, but I am glad to see the Chiefs going for players like Peters who may have some rough edges, but also have a huge upside. Quite a contrast from the Fat Scott era of drafting mostly safe players. |

Bleacher report gave the Chiefs a grade A with the pick.
Also, the Chiefs have a major need at cornerback, and Peters was, at worst, the second-best corner on the board. Grade: A http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2...t-card/page/20 |

With the questionable legal situation of La'el Collins, I would have gone with:
Eric Rowe, CB; Utah Phillip Dorsett, WR; Miami Bud Dupree, OLB/DE; Kentucky But I have to give Dorsey/Reid credit - Peters is a beast. He's absolutely shut down when he's on. But he's been a loose cannon to date. If he's even halfway focused his train of thought/thought process, he's a terrific pick. Wants to win every down and is absolutely fearless. They obviously felt like they did their homework on him. Like I said, huge balls of a pick. |
