My Engagement just got broken off but the Royals are 6-0!
So apparently its been building with her for a long time, but the final straw was that I wanted to watch the game today instead of going with her to some BBQ at one of her friends' house that I cant stand. Last night making her watch the game with me instead of our usual Sat night of watching movies might have had something to do with it as well.

No more than an hour after the game ended she came over and gave me her ring back and said "I cant do this anymore". I just stood there dumbfounded as I watched her walk to her car. Im sure its not just the baseball games, we've been fighting a lot the last few months about stupid shit but I guess this finally sent her over the edge.

I'm sure I'll be hurt by this tomorrow, but until then go Royals!

Back in my single days I went out a few times with a very cute girl. One day I picked her up early on a Sunday afternoon. We hadn't made any plans, and I told her I thought it would be fun to go see the Royals game that day.

She looked at me I was from outer space and she said "Really?" in a tone of voice that made it clear that the last thing she would ever do would be to go to a Royals game. Or any sporting event, for that matter.

I stopped calling her after that.
