That was THE. WORST. two-minute offense I've ever seen.

Worst. Absolutely ridiculous.

Good thing we locked Alex up; wouldn't want anyone else getting this sort of competitive advantage with the game on the line.

It didn't have any sort of emotional reaction at the time. I just didn't understand it. I couldn't process what I was watching. I'm confident Junior High teams have the wherewithal to execute a better effort than what we watched.

Looking back, it pisses me off, but I'm the one to blame for watching this shit. I should know better by now. As a Chiefs fan, I have nobody to blame but myself for caring about this franchise when the writing is on the wall.

There is some evidence that Reid does want more a downfield passing game. That's the way they came out against the Titans and Alex threw two picks and was sacked a bunch of times. They tried it again in the first half against Miami and Alex got sacked on almost every deep dropback. It's a bad line and Alex holds the ball too long, waiting for the play to be 100% open. That's a deadly combination and Reid had to adjust. i don't think Reid likes playing Martyball, though, and keeps trying to get away from it (like forgetting to run JC and Davis).

Yeah, just when I think I have a deficit of ****s to give, they find a new way to spark a negative emotion.

It's sad, as a pass catcher during a Chiefs 2 minute drill, you're better off swatting an Alex Smith pass down to the ground just to save some clock.

Can you elaborate on Reid's gameplan being the cause? I know he has made some bad play calls & clock mis-management, but as far as the plays themselves, we run the same passing concepts as every other NFL team. Most of the time Alex either misses a read, line collapses or just plain out checks down/takes the underneath throw. These are not all designed 'check-downs'.

edit: Here is an example. The kelce fumble video. ignore the Kelce fumble and look at the spot passing concept. Flat defender stays with the arrow, Wilson #13 leaves his man on the 7 route.. wide open for a nice gain. Checks down to Kelce without even making the ****ing first read.

So why the check down? There is something fundamentally wrong with Reid and Smith... I cant put my hand on it. Everyone of Reid's plays has way too many outs which are great, but for some reason they are using them as first reads and not your typical dump offs...

And I am not going to quote the CP QB bashing manual and rehash the same old shit everyone says about Smith... He cant go deep, no accurate, blah blah blah, same ****s saying same shit its wore out.

Great catch noticing that. I hadn't noticed that. You have to wonder if he gets that ball to DAT, if he scores to the outside, given the defender slips.

This shit just makes me

Pretty much every play has a checkdown. This isn't on Reid....it's on Smith. Smith is looking at his first read and then immediately going checkdown.
