Bungie's Destiny Will be Revealed in 5 Days

Mark your calendars for this Sunday, February 17.

by Lucas M. Thomas
February 12, 2013

Yesterday we brought to you the news that a reveal of Bungie's next project, Destiny, was being hinted at for this upcoming Monday, February 18 – an augmented-reality game on the studio's website seemed to be pointing toward that date. Well, we won't have to wait quite that long. It's now been announced that Destiny will be unveiled one day earlier than we thought, on this Sunday, February 17.
An official Facebook page went live today and made that announcement as its first order of business. A Twitter account for the game has also been activated as well.
And if all that isn't enough to get you hyped, have a first look at the game's just-revealed logo as well:

There was so much bad press, horrid reviews and negative attention given to the game that I figured Bungie would make drastic improvements.
Questions:
1. Still nothing but constant grinding?
2. Any improvement to the storyline?
3. Can players trade goods yet?
4. Are rewards worthwhile now or is it just random crap?
5. DLC - Does any of it actually help gameplay or is it basically 'pay to win' type shit? In over words, is there an actual campaign with good storytelling?
6. If they released the game in its current state as opposed to the way it was a year ago, how much better would it have been ranked? Most game sites, (not paid by Bungie *cough IGN cough*) gave it an average score of 5.5 out of 10.

Thanks guys.
Save yourself the trouble. This game is the Debil!!!!!!

Not a fan of the Titan really but seems like I should have all three. I don't know. Whats your take?
I run two Titans and a Warlock. Bubble Bro and Space Magic for life!!!!!

Um, nobody reviewed it that low. Of the 64 reviews I saw, there were 3 3 out of 5 scores, and I think one 6.5 out of 10. IGN's score of 7.8 is exactly in line with general consensus.

Does the game have some issues? Sure. Is it the most addictive game with the largest and most active player base of this generation? Also yes.

I don't regret the purchase anymore but it still needs more.

I run all three. I'm a titan guy. I like the jump, and the bubble helps teammates.

Hunter is my least favorite but I probably use it the most because I'm a really good sword bearer.

Warlock is okay.

I also run all three. I need the variety. I couldn't just play one class. Warlock's my favorite. Titan and Hunter depend on my mood.

once I get my titan leveled up to at least 30 I may dump my other hunter and go to Warlock. I just want to be able to get max strange coins each week since I can't seem to get exoctics to drop.

Two things I hate about titan, that ****ing lift jump of his and trying to build up the plasteel plating. Every upgrade requires a bunch of plating and all that ever drops for me is ****ing weapons. Its really making for a pain in the ass to get him leveled up.

I save all my blue armor engrams, use them on whichever character needs armor materials the most that week. Also periodically spend a few thousand buying and disassembling armor from the vanguard vendor.

Explain that more. Is it worth spending glimmer on armor just to tear it down

Yeah, it's just another avenue to collect materials. Glimmer isn't hard to come by.

Last of Us is one of the best games I've ever played. Great story and graphics.

Destiny is fun to play with a great group of guys. Just pick one and go out and buy the other. I suggest playing Last of Us first because Destiny is an addiction and it's difficult to take the disc out of the PS4 once you start it.

I played Everquest for 7 years hardcore racked up over 300 days played (insomnia for the win). I know what addiction can be! lol. I learned to snap out of it and i can do it easy now! I was looking at video of the game and it seems pretty decent. I think i could get some good hours of it it playing at night for a few hours.

That's hella true. I think I'm playing it more now than I was in September, while the stuff I got from gamefly is still unopened.
