A couple of local joints that didn't make the list but certainly deserve to be: Freebirds (burritos) and PTerry's (burgers). Freebirds is starting to grow though, I saw one recently in Dallas but I doubt they have gotten out of Texas. But they kick Chipotle every time. And their pot brownies are great! (circular, cooked in a pot)

Apparently they're branching out. They've opened a couple stores in North Carolina. I think somewhere near Duke.
