Axl Rose Back in Black Hat ... In Studio with AC/DC!! No one on the planet is about to rock as hard as Axl Rose, and we have the first photos of him leaving rehearsing with what could be his new band ... AC/DC! There are reports the Guns N' Roses frontman is going to fill in as lead singer for AC/DC, which is rumored to be opening for GNR on its upcoming tour. Axl was at a rehearsal studio in Atlanta with Angus Young and co. on Friday ... maybe running through the classics, maybe finalizing a deal. Neither side's reps are confirming anything yet. Looks like Axl's been working hard to get in shape for the double duty tour -- and this is our first look at him in a long time. If the voice works ... do ya really care what he looks like? |

Report: Brian Johnson Has Been Fired From AC/DC, Will NOT Return to the Band
artist: AC/DC date: 04/18/2016 Report: Brian Johnson Has Been Fired From AC/DC, Will NOT Return to the Band According to a new report from prominent metal journalist and TV host Eddie Trunk, vocalist Brian Johnson will not be returning to AC/DC and his temporary absence is in fact permanent. The man noted on his blog: "This is what Axl and I discussed at the Vegas show last weekend and he asked me not to speak about until it was officially out. "Needless to say for Axl this is a moment for him to play with his heroes. He told me how excited he was to have the chance to do this and said he would do an interview with me about it if I didn't say anything until official word comes out. So hopefully that is coming! "You also no doubt know Angus jammed with GN'R last night at Coachella to make it official. The clips on YouTube sounded cool and clearly vocally Axl can handle the gig." Focusing on Brian and reports of his hearing loss, Eddie continued: "But there are way more questions than that. The release from AC/DC made it pretty clear they are done with Brian Johnson. "What really happened with Brian is anyone's guess. But nobody is buying the hearing thing that I know. My sources tell me Brian was slowing down and didn't want to work as hard as Angus (who is younger) did. "I also know that on the latest tour Brian only wanted to do 2-3 shows max a week. Something that is expensive for a band when off that much on the road (Aerosmith has to do this with Tyler). It comes with age and guys slowing. "I suspect it reached a breaking point and that was that. I can not believe it was a sudden hearing issue. Maybe it played a small role, but no way is it the real story in full. "I can't believe after 36 years AC/DC would say goodbye to their singer and not find a work around. MANY have hearing issues and find a way to make it work in rock. And until Brian speaks, we will never know. Brian is a total class act. So very possible he takes the high road here." Trunk concluded: "But it still blows me away how so many fans are not demanding a real answer on Brian and are so quick to move on."

I watched an interview where Zakk Wylde was saying that Brian had significant hearing loss, not so much due to touring/playing loud etc, but because he was an avid race car driver enthusiast and that he never wore earplugs in the car.

So what if it is anyways? Brian Johnson doesn't owe anyone out there an explanation to the fans just to the band and they accept it. To think that 40 years of jamming to hard rock in concerts wouldn't damage a guys hearing is also dumb. I mean I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often to rockers. He questions why fans aren't demanding a better answer on Brian but why? Why can't us fans just let it go and move on because that's what the band is doing.? To me hearing loss for a rock and roll star is a pretty legitimate reason to hang up the microphone. Thank you Brian Johnson for giving us fans great albums with one of the best bands ever in the world.

Brian Johnson's personal message disputes Eddie Trunk's report, so I'm inclined to go with Brian's version.
That said, if Angus wants to continue for 10 more years as reported, Brian won't be touring with them, as he's quite a bit older and just worn out. They'll need to find a permanent replacement, which doesn't make much sense, especially considering Malcom wrote the majority of lyrics, melodies and music and he's suffering from Alzhiemer's. |

Wow I'm glad I caught these guys earlier this year in Seattle when Johnson was still around because Rose sounds like a cat that someone lit on fire.

I'll never understand why people find me as "arrogant" for sharing info. Some people say it's the "manner" in which I share but who cares? It's not like I'm being paid to share, nor am I being paid to report. It's a courtesy, just like those who kindly share Internet, wireless, accounting, portfolio investment and many other business insights. |
