*.* NEW- 2014 General Fitness Thread *.*

I guess we filled up the old one... http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=280149

Welcome to 2014! Now get your ass in top physical condition!

No one else started it so here it is!

**From the 2013 Thread**

If you want to get back into lifting, or need a new lifting routine, START HERE:

http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wi...inner_Programs

If you have questions about the SS programs, look here:

http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ

Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started.

Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE:

http://madcow.hostzi.com/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm

If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point.

I picked up a trek farley 5 in gray, blue and orange. My buddy has a bike shop and showed up one day with it. I rode it a little and loved it so I didn't give it back. My wife is in the process of trying different styles to find what she likes riding the most. Probably going to be more of a mountain bike style for her.

I bought a Trek bike in March. It's amazing how much difference a decent bike (that fits my long legged ass) makes.

It's a Dual Sport 8.3.

I weighed in at 192 yesterday. 43 lbs down since late December.

My original goal was to get to 205. I'm thinking I'll try to get to 190 and try to keep myself between 190-200. Everybody says I look anorexic. I've went from a 38" waist to a 32". I mainly wear 34" as the 32" are a little tight around the legs.

Working out 2-3 days a week but mainly keep my carbs under a 100 a day. Really hasn't been that hard to lose the weight.

Unless you're 6'10" you're probably just surrounded by fat, jealous assholes.

Test results came back at 512 for total. Asked for free testosterone as well but apparently they didn't run it.

Anyone in KC area have a doctor that would prescribe TRT for a 42 year old with a 512 result?

Have you tried a Low T center? They want you to become a patient.

Be smart with dosing.
Id say
10/10mcg for a few days bump to 20/20 for the rest of week 1 and then 40/40 to 50/50 tops the 2nd week. 160 a day is the highest recommend dose.

That's awesome.

I'm down to 207 myself. I got up to 255 during dental school as I was always stressed and eating and shit.

I ride my bike everyday and lift 3 days a week but diet has been the biggest thing to get me over the top. It feels nice to be able to fit back into a size 34 slack
