What is/should be Mahomes nickname?

Dad says he always called him Showtime. But, that’s been used before.

I’ll take a handful of consensus nicknames and make a final poll. Including an selection to vote it’s too early for nicknames.

That will probably be the one that sticks. It's simple and effective, kinda like Big Ben. Patrick is a unique name for NFL starting QB's.

I suggested naming the offense, ala The Greatest Show on Turf, and calling them The Patomic Bomb Squad.

I am also getting sick of hearing all this "gunslinger" who takes chances and throws picks crap. At Tech he had a TD:INT ratio of 3.21 Touchdown Passes to every 1 interception.

If people want to use a firearms-centric nickname, it should be something like Sniper or Overwatch. Actually, I like Overwatch. I thought about Pistol Pat, which not only plays into the gunslinger crap, but also refers to the backfield alignment of the QB and RB/HB.

I also remember playing Halo, and how difficult it was to shoot someone in close quarters battle with a Sniper Rifle without using the scope. He could be "No Scope Mahomes"

Guys... it's Showtime. It's over. ESPN has made it official and there's just no undoing it. It's like when Jaws started calling Peyton Manning "The Sheriff" out of nowhere. He just forced it down everyone's throats. My best friend is a Colts fan and he hated it but there was just nothing he or anyone else could do about it. Or when they called Albert Pujols "The Machine" and made a whole Sport Center commercial out of it when no one had ever called him that.

Personally I would prefer Saint Patrick or nothing, but at least the nickname that ESPN has forced on our guy is not only something that has some basis in reality, it's decently fun and not entirely irritating. They could have chosen something truly awful like "Mahomes Cookin". Consider us lucky.
