Anybody have a good home generator recommendation?
I really have needed to get one the last few years, but I just haven't wanted to spend the money. Not really sure what brands I should look for or look at, looked at a couple at TSC and they looked super cheap. I am looking for one that could power some key components at my house if the power goes out for an extended period of time; like sump pump, fridge, big freezer, hot water heater, and whatever is pertinent at the time.

Is it worth getting a generator installed that can power the whole house? As opposed to buying a gas one and running 4 or 5 things at a time.
