90% of the time I talk to a Chiefs' fan on the street, they think we need to draft line in the first.

I reply "Eric Fisher", and they have no answer whatsoever. Truefans are ****ing reeruns.

YES, all quarterbacks miss throws and opportunities. Problem is because Alex:

a) doesn't attempt many big throws
b) leads an offense that doesnt score many points, so games are always close
c) is so quick to check down and misses bigger plays so often

.....said missed opportunities are completely magnified. When Tom Brady throws for 340 yards and 3 touchdowns in a game that the Patriots are up a decent amout, the handful of plays that he misses are not a big deal in the slightest bit. When Alex throws for 180 yards and no touchdowns in a game that we are either up or down one score, the missed plays are magnified as HUGE reasons for a potential loss.
Not an AS apologist. But I also realize that there are a lot of crap on our offense and you can't blame Smith on all of it. Smith has his faults but he is certainly not the main problem on that side the ball. Piss pour line play crap for wide receivers and a lackadaisical Bowe are high on my list. Get Smith help on the line and receivers he believes in then if he cant make that work move on. The money we sunk into him moving on is a bad option as its like a new coach you basically start all over again. If you can make him serviceable through this contract but looking hard in draft for his successor that's the way to go.
Off subject but why has Childress not gotten some flack in this offense. The guy was brought in to incorporate the read option BS. We certainly have used it and Smith has fell for the dump off crap. Is that guy just up in the booth stealing Hunts money?

I hate this place.

"Smith needs real receivers."

"Smith doesn't trust his line."

All the while we have example after of example of him not throwing to WIDE open receivers, many of whom are in the endzone. Bowe alone has three TDs in this article that didn't happen because of Smith and Smith only. None of those didn't happen because of poor blocking or poor receiver play. Those non TDs to Bowe are all on Smith yet people here claim he doesn't get open. Can any of you refute and/or explain this away?

The evidence clearly shows that "the receivers aren't good" is garbage. There stats aren't good because of Smith. But they are open plenty of times. If he makes just one or two of those plays we make the playoffs considering all of those plays came in games we lost.

None of this jives with anything in the OP. How do you reconcile that? Are Bowe and Kelce not open for multiple TDs? Are there not many big plays missed to all the receivers? Yes or no?

This list doesn't even include all the atrocities that were posted in the article here after the Cardinals game. He makes one of those throws and we win that game.

It's only going to get worse. Especially if they cut Bowe.

The jig is up on Alex and Andy. They don't have any new wrinkles coming.

The league knows how to stop them.

OMG.

Was it the defense that threw that game-ending interception @ SF? Was it the defense that threw 3 INTs to some scrubs against Tennessee? Was it the defense whose ass puckered up and made an ill-advised incomplete pass on 4th down @ Denver? Was it the defense that only scored 14 @ Arizona? Was it the defense that only scored 12 points @ Pittsburgh?

Snap the ****ing ball was probably the greatest moment of Todd Haley's head coaching career.

Meanwhile, the defense held it's own for the most part. They allowed just 22 and 24 points in the two games you keep referencing. They had so many crucial 4th down stops it's incredible. Didn't allow a single 300 yard passer. Didn't allow over 30 points a single time.

What the **** did Alex do that was noteworthy?

Noteworthy? He led the 32nd ranked passing offense and failed to throw a touchdown to a WR all season. In fact, Alex played a gigantic part in setting an NFL record for futility that literally cannot be broken unless the league restructures the number of games in a season.

By the way, you are arguing with mults... there is no effing way jenkinswins and hit chief are genuine. No effing way.

How about the coach shoulder some of this blame?

Shitty game plans. Zero adjustments. Awesome clock management.

"John Baldwin". Does that mean KC shouldn't draft a WR in the first?
"Ryan Sims"/"Tyson Jackson". Does that mean KC shouldn't draft a DL in the first?
