2017 Rookie QB Watch thread

Since there was so much debate about who to draft figured this would be a fun thread.

First up Deshaun Watson: 15-for-25 for 179 yards. He also had three carries for 24 yards and a rushing touchdown. He had a sweet rushing TD. Still think he would have been a good fit here.

Trubisky will be starting Week 1, if the Bears have any intelligence what so ever. Dickneck Glennon has been atrocious.

Up until this week, Mahomes was the best rookie QB. Mahomes took a step back, not entirely his own fault, and Trubiski looks good so far today. So did Glennon so that necessarily isn't saying much.

Watson has looked like trash 2 games in a row. Kizer didn't impress last week and was bad this week.

After 3 weeks:

1)Trubiski
2)Mahomes

Big gap

3)Kizer
4)Watson

Next week will be huge. All of them should get significant time.

There's another gap between Kizer and Watson

Agree, although I have Trubiski and Mahomes pretty well equal at this point. Kizer and Watson have been terrible. I'm not sure what Hugh is thinking trotting Kizer out as his starter...

I think the Browns open with the Steelers and Ravens. What an awful 2 week slate for a rookie.

It isn't like they have anybody else with Brock and Barkley.

Trubisky has been the best so far, but let's look closer.

The guy had all day to throw today while Pat was running for his life most of the time.

Trubiski was my initial favorite. He seemed like the best candidate for PPP-style Quarterbacking, but there is no doubt that Mahomes is a far better fit for the WCO, as well as having the ability to counter balance Reid's weaknesses, which is something I have stressed time and time again.

It's kind of strange, but I believe that every one of these guys at the top landed exactly where they need to be.

I hope that's the case with Darnold. I'm a very jealous guardian of my new franchise QB, and I'd prefer he be VERY alone on the big stage when the time comes.

I would have rode Kessler until Kizer was truly ready, and he's a long way from ready watching him play.
