Movies
Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

Are you guys talking about that gay soccer movie that had Nancy-boy Damon as the lead that was out this past year? Maybe Eastwood should go back to doing musicals as long as he's putting out movies about fairy sports.

Morgan Freeman, Invictus
George Clooney, Up In the Air
Colin Firth, A Single Man
Jeremy Renner, The Hurt Locker
and the deserving winner was Jeff Bridges, Crazy Heart

Of those, I'd put Freeman's performance as the least-good. I wouldn't have even nominated him; I can think of three or four other actors who I would have nominated ahead of Morgan.

You watch a lot more film than I, so I have no problem deferring here.

I didn't see A Single Man or Crazy Heart so I can't even comment.

I don't know, but I played full tackle, no pad football with some KU Rugby guys back when I was still in school and getting tackled or trying to tackle them was no fun.
