Dee Milliner

*IF* it isn't to be Geno...would you be okay with D. Milliner #1 overall?

Evan Silva ‏@evansilva
#Alabama CB Dee Milliner's two 40 times: 4.37, 4.31. Sick speed for a built-up, 6-foot, 201-pound corner.

Sam Mellinger ‏@mellinger
I would've been w/o the 40. MT @nate_bukaty Am I overreacting to this 40 time to be more excited for Chiefs to take Milliner than Joekel?

I'd rather pick Tavon Austin than any TWO CBs.

No. That will undoubtedly lead to a nonstop barrage of Leon Sandcastle jokes.

Someone should start a thread about drafting him.

I did, but everybody told me I was overreacting.

Watch. We'll trade down and pick Milliner after the Alex Smith trade. Then Boomer will go, "Well... he's not Leon Sandcastle but Milliner looks pretty good, take us through it Mel"

You speak as if there aren't NUMEROUS reasons not to take Milliner at #1

Milliner at #1 is an abortion pick. Plain and simple. The Leon Sandcastle jokes that would be plopped on top would cause me to borrow Talking Can's time machine so I can go back 50,000 years and wipe Dorsey and Reid out at the source.

I think you are grossly overestimating this Leon Sandcastle thing. If there are numerous reasons, why don't you just lead with those instead of saying you don't want to draft a player because you are afraid of the link to a fictional character? That could be the most ridiculous reason to not draft a player that I've ever heard.

I don't know. Maybe because I've only talked about it approximately 732 times. I guess I just got sick of typing out ANOTHER long-winded post that explains a ridiculously obvious premise.

Milliner at #1 is not an abortion pick. He has good size/speed and stands out on film as Bama's best CB and is clearly the top CB in this draft.

He has all the measurables and the film to back it up. Dudes a player and would solidify our defensive backfield once again to make up for the loss of Carr.

Now I get that you want Geno but do not discount what other players can bring to this team.

These guys have been called the best CB in the NFL at times :
Nnamdi Asomugha - 0 SBs
Champ Bailey - 0 SBs
Darrelle Revis - 0 SBs

Discount THAT. /Kobe

If you're picking a position that has NEVER been picked before at that slot, you're either a visionary among mortals or an idiot.

The rest of this discussion is moot.

Dude, we did not go 2-14 to draft a ****ing CB, so yeah it would be an abortion.
