If I had to rank the fifty states in order based on my own personal preference, I would go like this:
Bring it on Colorado Alaska Oregon Utah Sure, no problem Wyoming California Hawaii Washington Idaho Eh, Okay New Mexico Nevada South Dakota Montana Florida Minnesota New Hampshire Vermont Michigan If I have to Arizona New York North Dakota Nebraska Kansas Rhode Island Maine Texas I'd really rather not Iowa Kentucky Delaware South Carolina West Virginia Arkansas Missouri Oklahoma Wisconsin Please, no. Don't make me do it. Indiana Massachusetts District of Columbia Georgia Louisiana Maryland New Jersey Tennessee Mississippi Connecticut Illinois North Carolina Pennsylvania Virginia Alabama Ohio

It is. Probably a top 5 hike of my life, maybe top 3 and I have been lucky enough to enjoy some really amazing backpacking/hiking. The Subway is next on my list when I make it back to Zion.

I want to do the Subway, too. Actually, I want to hike all the trails at Zion, but just don't have the time. |

I just got back from the Portland regional area.
2nd time going for vacation and I absolutely love it. Granted I haven't been there in the rainy season. Went white water rafting, went to the coast, took a train to Seattle, went to about 12 breweries, had a great time. Cost of living isn't outrageous either. |

Sooooo lived here 3 months. No major change in my diet. I still have too many kids to eat out all the time. But we are outdoors every damn day doing something.
I drown in my skinniest jeans now. This place is so cool.

I realize that they are your kids and you can make more, but you really shouldn't eat them.

I hate the hot humid VA summer. I hear Colorado Springs is nice.

I have trained my boys to pull a 180 in the event that an egg is detected.

There are several here that hate the springs. I've only been through it and in it as a tourist. And I loved it. But I dig an easy laid back atmosphere. Nightclubs and bars aren't really my top priority.
I'm sure I'll be a mountain hermit in my old age. Complete with Daniel Boone hat and beard.

The Springs is an interesting city. It feels very much like a military complex (which it is, really) and I understand that they have a pretty significant gang/meth problem. It is neat having Pike's Peak right there, though.
