LeBron will have to do this every night to beat the Spurs.

We're waiting, fraud.

IMO the Spurs don't have the defensive players like the Bulls\Pacers do.

Ok Mr "Memphis in 6". Spurs shut down a much more varied attack from the Warriors. They can handle the one man show that is Miami.

This. Miami has defensive holes too. There will be a lot of kick outs to the Spurs 3 pt shooters when Miami starts collapsing on Duncan and Splitter.

Yea, I hate Florida teams but acting like LeBron isn't the best player in the game right now is ridiculous.

They have a very good defensive player to match up on the one guy that really matters, which is Kawhi Leonard. If LeBron's supporting cast disappears against SA the way they have against Indiana and, at times, Chicago, they're in big trouble.

Is it fair to say Indiana is a pretty similar team to Memphis? And San Antonio cleaned their clocks.

Could be. It certainly doesn't look like anybody else is on the verge of helping him. If that is in fact the matchup, I'm leaning Spurs right now.

I admit I was wrong on that but the Spurs beat a team that is worse offensively than the Pacers are. I like the Warriors but they wouldn't won a game against the Heat

IMO Leonard won't be able to handle Lebron very well, I expect Lebron to put up big numbers. I agree if no one else shows up for the Heat the Spurs could easily win this series. I don't expect that to happen though.

And BTW how the **** did I become a defender of Lebron and the Heat?

The Spurs have an all-time great playing PF, and The Heat have real bad problems defending good post players .

I give the edge to San Antonio

You won't stop LeBron, but Kawhi is a solid enough defender to put in a Jimmy Butler type defense on him. Enough to not let LeBron stomp all over you single-handedly. Danny Green is one hell of a defender and is a good match up for Wade, and Duncan is going to force Bosh to do everything from the outside. Defensively, it's a solid enough matchup for the Heat.

The big difference, though, is going to be that you have a surer ballhandler, better depth than the Heat have seen all playoffs long, and guys who can actually shoot from the outside. The Heat won against OKC last year based on hot shooting from their supporting cast and cold shooting from the Thunder. Parker/Ginobli the offensive spark Indiana/Chicago cannot, and the consistency Westbrook/Harden couldn't do last year.

It would be one hell of a matchup.

Trivia question: Kawhi Leonard was traded for this player (IIRC).
