Late night bullshit: our coverage scheme.
One of the things that made scouting CBs so easy last year was looking for tall corners who played a ton of press man. I even had Gaines pegged months before we selected him.

I don't know what facilitated the change in 2014, but we went primarily off man (occasionally maddeningly so). I don't know if Sutton went that way because of a perceived lack of talent after cutting Flowers, or if he thought it was a superior scheme, but it clearly worked out.

What do you think precipitated the scheme change and what do you see the Chiefs doing in 2015?

Hopefully they start with upgrading Owens and then sticking with it. I was impressed. If they go back to man and give up huge plays again I may kill somebody.

We honestly may have stumbled upon a scheme that you only need C-grade talent to run.

Our starting secondary for the majority of the year was:

CB: Smith, Gaines, Owens
S: Abdullah, Parker, Coleman
