I agree and I vote no on letting him back on, this place has to have a backbone to it or people will be the ramp at on their stupid posting.

Agreed. It's clear the DraftKings tirefire would dominate the forum. I wish Hootie would say "I was wrong to propose to use my free rolls. I apologize." - and be ready to repeat that whenever anyone here brought DraftKings up.

But the thing is, those both sides of this issue aren't going to concede an inch about this. Both are holding onto the "I'm 100% right narrative," and that's not going to fly. Even when I and some of the other people neutral on the issue kindly suggested that Hoots let the free roll issue go, he responded with a CAPITAL LETTER novella where he explains that while he understands the hypocrisy, there was no way he could he have known that the universe would force him to be hypocritical about his position.

I like Hootie, and think he legitimately provided some of the best baseball analysis on the forum. I do think he got a raw deal being permanently banned, but it's also evident that things would devolve, as C3 put it, into WW3 if he was allowed back on.

It's tough - but I understand the mods' position, and while I'd like to one day see Hootie's baseball takes on here again - it seems that's not a realistic scenario at this point.
