Apparently you cannot party on your BYE week if you are an NFL player. Manziel was seen partying in Austin, Texas and when I mean partying, I mean just holding a bottle and talking to people. Not getting arrested or causing problems.

Pro athletes are under more scrutiny than virtually ANY other profession. You should be able to do whatever the hell you want as long as you aren't getting convicted for crimes. You should be judged on your performance on the field. If it happens to decline for your choices off the field, you should be fired for the performance, NOT the choice.

None of your employers are going to bar you from going out with friends, having fun at a bar. GTFO

I also think it's ridiculous that athletes get suspended when they are charged with a crime, that they haven't even been convicted for. I get perception, but I don't think any employer SHOULD be able to do anything to an employee if they haven't been convicted of said crime.

If he was throwing for 5 TDs and getting W's they would put up with it. He's not. So two full seasons of the only headlines that he's grabbed have been off the field. Cut ties.

They are also making more money than virtually ANY other profession. They are entertainers. If they don't represent the brand they are gone.

If a CEO of just about any major company in the US went off on a racist rant tomorrow on twitter that the media jumped on they would be gone. Because they are hurting the company. Whether they broke the law or not. Even if they had made the company a lot of money.
