Same here. I can always appreciate the level of craftsmanship that goes into a project like that.

The truck sat in a field a couple miles from here for YEARS, owner said it never left the county since it was brand new.

It's just something different.

I finally got my scout back on the road. After a motor and trans swap it still wasn't running right. I had a guy put in a carb kit but still running like shit. Decided it was timing and or fuel. I'm not an expert and relied on a friend but the timing was turned up higher than it was supposed to be, but the light said it was right.

Ended up putting a new Holley carb, fuel lines and tank to be sure. Ran much better but ended up drinking with timing and its roaring again.

Apparently sitting a year and a half is hard on it because it looks like I'm going to need to put in some u joints soon.

Do the u joint before they go out. Dads had a couple come apart and it is hard on shit. Last year one came apart on a big ass Deere articulated tractor who like 400 hours and tore a fuel line and burned it down on the highway.

I don't know anything about it because dad refuses to own them, but dad HATES Holleys. He said the only good thing about Holleys is you get good at rebuilding them through repitition. . You can see the hate in his face when you say the word Holley.
